MMS interview with Julius Kitzito who is based in Uganda and trainied by Patrick to be a MHFAider®

Mental Health is global. Do you agree?

Patrick has a passion to support and train anyone about the role of mental health. One way is through Patrick’s credentials as a MHFA England instructor. He is certified to train any adult from 18 years or more to look for the signs of mental health worry, raise awareness of mental health, approach them with researched and approved techniques and sign post them to get help.

This now moving into more community areas, and globally. Patrick first met Julius Kitzito on LinkedIn when Patrick posted about mental resilience. Julius kindly commented on Patrick’s post and from that moment they got talking and built a lovely relationship. Julius shared his passion and current work in Uganda - as a rotarian, counselor, mental health advocate and focus to empower underprivileged children reach their full potential. A good example is HERE.

Patrick realised the need to investigate if Julius could be a certified MHFAider® through the MHFA England training. It turned out that this was possible by speaking to MHFA England and MHFA International. Julius joined one of Patrick’s courses and now is a qualified instructor. It is another step forward on his own passion and journey to make a positive difference.
