Perfectionism can drive Mental Illnesses, especially with a Piano…!

Did you know it was Piano Day on the 31st March? Patrick used this event to demonstrate the “Perfect Pressure” that our minds can put on us. We can’t be perfect all of the time. We all make mistakes due to internal and external factors.

But often we don’t accept that. We are the first people to criticise ourselves and to predict our failure. This can multiply our mental negativity and increases stress.

If you accept your mistakes, and forgive yourself quicker, then your life changes can be managed more easily.. Playing Music is a good demonstration of this: you practice with the expectation to be perfect. You need to be patient and positive. You need to recognise and remember the good moments, and not keep focused on the mistakes.

Watch here and spot the mistakes.......or just enjoy....

Patrick talks and performs on the piano to showcase how our minds like to be Perfect - all of the time!
